The website for submission of papers for the Proceedings is now open.

Submissions are open for Plenary papers (5 pages), Country Papers (2 pages), Workshop Reports (2 pages) and Scientific Papers (2 pages, new for this year).

Please click here to submit your paper.

Abstract submissions now open. Submission will be open until July 5, 2014.

IMPORTANT: Please read the instructions below:

To submit an abstract, please create an account using the login form on this page. Please make sure to enter your first name and last name when creating an account so we know who you are!

COUNTRY TEAM LEADERS: When you login to your account, you will see the names of all country team members who have created an account. You must approve these team members. Without this approval, team members cannot submit an abstract.

COUNTRY TEAM MEMBERS: Once you have created an account, your Country Team Leader will need to approve your account before you can submit your abstract. Without this approval, you will not be able to see the link to submit your abstract.

Please submit your abstract as a pdf file.

Abstracts are invited for both Country Papers and Scientific Papers.

Why are there Country Papers and Scientific Papers?

The social and the scientific aspects: the Country Papers report on social aspects, whilst scientific advances are reported in Scientific Papers.

Country Papers

1. The Country Paper should report on the changes in the environment affecting women in physics over the last 3 years, initiatives that have been taken within the country, and their outcomes.

2. The paper should be coordinated by the Country Team, who are encouraged to contact and include people who have made contributions in the last 3 years.

3. Where a country is represented at this conference for the first time, the country paper should also briefly describe the history of physics in the country, with particular reference to women, and describe the current experiences of women in physics in the country.

4. Your Country Team Leader (Refer to the 'Country Team' menu item for more on Country Team Leaders), who is responsible for co-ordinating the Country Paper Abstract and submitting it on-line via this website page.

5. Country Papers will be presented at the conference in the form of posters. Poster dimensions must be a maximum of 4 feet wide x 3 feet high.

6. Abstracts of country papers will be published in the programme.

7. Full country papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings.

Scientific Papers

1. Papers on scientific topics and topics related to gender and physics or science are invited.

2. Participants will submit their scientific abstracts individually via the website.

3. The abstracts will be reviewed by the Country Team Leader and will then be refereed by the Programme Committee.

4. Scientific Papers will be presented as posters.  Poster dimensions must be a maximum of 4 feet wide x 3 feet high.

5. The author and title will be published in the Programme at the conference.

6. We regret that full scientific papers cannot be published in the Proceedings, due to space limitations. Therefore, you are encouraged to publish the full paper in a peer-reviewed journal.

Update: Thanks to AIP, we CAN publish scientific papers in the Proceedings this year! Scientific papers are limited to 2 pages.
